  • Stereoselective synthesis of mono- and disaccharide as well as nucleoside derivatives and coupling of metal-chelating units
  • Synthesis and structure elucidation of sugar metal complexes for use as chemotherapeutic agents, antibiotics and model substances for radioactive contrast agents
  • Preparation and analysis of glycopolymers with specific properties, e.g. LCST behavior, film-forming ability, cell adhesion, formation of micelles and nanoparticles
